The Lanterna peninsula and the surrounding bays of Tara and Vabriga are places to enjoy the amazing beauty of the sea and nature. Sunbathing and swimming on organized or hidden, intimate beaches, entertainment or sports activities, a walk by the sea with an unforgettable view of the nearby Novigrad and the mouth of the Mirna river... The openness to the sea perfectly rounds off the story of this place.

Get to know Istria

Istria (lat. Histria, tal. Istria čakavski Istrija, Jistra) is the largest Adriatic peninsula. It is located in the northern part of the Adriatic, in Croatia, Slovenia and Italy. The name Istria comes from the name of the prehistoric tribe / people Histri, who lived in the area. The Romans describe the Histrians as infamous pirates who knew how to take advantage of the fact that they are very dangerous for navigation due to the numerous shallows of the Istrian coast.
