It is an undulating and hilly region covered with vineyards, olive groves and arable fields interspersed with oak, cherry and pine forests, a karst belt full of interesting geological phenomena and glades of Mediterranean vegetation, among which thyme and juniper stand out.

Wir waren als Familie Ende August bis Anfang September in der Villa Istriana und haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Die Villa ist erst dieses Jahr fertiggestellt worden, alles ist neu, modern und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Pool ist außergewöhnlich groß – ideal zum Schwimmen, Tauchen oder für eine Runde Wasservolleyball. Nach den langen Bahnen sind wir gerne noch in den Whirlpool gewechselt, die Sauna haben wir nicht genutzt. Rund ums Haus gibt es mehrere Rasenflächen sowie ausreichend Schattenplätze. Die Gartenliegen sind mit bequemen Polstern ausgestattet. Beide Terrassen (Erdgeschoss und 1. Stock) sind großzügig angelegt, gut möbliert, und der weite Blick ins grüne Umland ist einfach traumhaft. Am Horizont sieht man das Meer, und die Sonnenuntergänge sind jeden Abend ein Highlight. Sehr schön ist auch die Außenküche – perfekt zum Grillen oder für gemütliche Abende am Feuer. Die Küche im Haus ist für die meisten Gerichte gut ausgestattet. Auch die Schlafräume sind liebevoll und komfortabel eingerichtet. Die Fahrt in den nächsten Ort, Buje, dauert etwa 15 Minuten. Man sollte sich bewusst sein, dass die Villa sehr ruhig und abgeschieden liegt – für uns war genau das ideal, da wir die Ruhe gesucht und gefunden haben. Vom Balkon aus konnten wir sogar gelegentlich Rehe beobachten, was eine ganz besondere Stimmung hatte. Auch unsere Hündin hat sich hier sofort wohlgefühlt – was nicht selbstverständlich ist. Wir können die Villa uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen – ein perfekter Ort zum Entspannen, Genießen und Abschalten.
